The Cooper County Public Health Center has experienced a sharp increase in cases over the past two weeks. Some cases are travel related with exposures from outside central Missouri and others have been community acquired with exposure related to employment in a neighboring county.

With the holiday weekend ahead of us it is very important that citizens continue to use caution when, where and how they engage in activities over the July 4th weekend. Please avoid large crowds, engage in social distancing, and use a mask as much as possible.

Covid-19 is real, the virus is here within Cooper County. Precautions must be taken to help safeguard our communities. Safety precautions and distancing is a gift from YOU to your friends, family, neighbors, and the economy of Cooper County.

Please take the time out to enjoy the 4th of July but do so with care as if your life depended upon it.

The Cooper County Public Health Center will be closed on Friday for the holiday but will have staff on call for Covid -19 response. The office will re-open on Monday July 6, 2020.

Thank you very much and have a safe weekend.
