December 07, 2020                  Covid-19 Exposure Alert

The family of Albert Imhoff in cooperation with the Cooper County Public Health Center would like to announce that attendees of his memorial service may have been exposed to the Covid-19 virus. The service was held in Boonville on December 2, 2020. Attendees are encouraged to call into the health center at 660-882-2626 or log into the office website below.

Go to https://coopercountypublichealth.com/   then click on contact. Your message will be confidential. Please submit your name, email, and under comments; your home address, phone number and add your information of which event you attended. If you do not have access to the internet, please call 660-882-2626.

If you are experiencing even one symptom of the following, please seek medical care: if you are not feeling well, have sore throat, cough, headache, sinus pressure, nausea, vomiting, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, loss of smell taste, fever, chills, fatigue, diarrhea and backache please contact your physician for an order to seek out PCR nasal testing in Columbia at either MU, Boone Hospital or Urgent Care clinics. The PCR nasal swab test is better suited in this situation. The Cooper County Public Health Center has no available testing appointments through this week for PCR testing; we have maxed out the numbers of tests per day that we can perform.

CDC recommends all individuals get tested if they have been exposed to a known positive case.

Thank you very much,

Melanie Hutton RN, MSN
