Nancy Krutzsch (46 yo) works as a Sr. Sales Rep for Animal Health.
Please vote for me, Nancy Krutzsch, on April 6th! I am excited to be running for a position on the Cooper County Public Health Board of Trustees. A little about me...l have lived in Cooper County since 2005. I am married and have three sons; two of them are in college and the youngest is a senior at Tipton High School. My family recently purchased and moved to a small farm in the Bunceton area. We have a cow/calf operation and also raise beef for butchering. My Bachelor's degree in Business Management came from Mizzou. Currently, I work as a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager in central Missouri, and it is my passion. It's hard to believe I have been in the veterinary industry for over 12 years, including working as a pharmaceutical sales representative traveling all over the state. If given the opportunity, I would be a proactive member of the health board because I understand the importance of health, science, and health-related programs provided by the county. I frequently attend health board meetings as an involved citizen, offering the board support for the important role they serve. Please message me with any questions. Thank you for reading! What brings you to Cooper County?
I was born and raised here and moved away then came back
What are you most looking forward to and serving as a trustee on the board of health? Continuing, I have been on the board of health since origination in the early 2000's and I would like to continue in that role and help the citizens of Cooper County get better health resources. What are you dreading or concerned about? I'm concerned that we have 9 candidates and that will split the vote lots of different ways. I am also concerned about low voter turnout at one time it was even announced that Bunceton voting site wouldn't be open. Would you mind telling me a little bit about your family? I live here, my husband was a farmer, I worked for the government then retired. My son Jason lives here, my two daughters live away, Deanne is in Salt Lake City and Dana is in St. Charles. What do or did you do for a living? I am retired from my government job. I now farm locally. Do you consider yourself a liberal or conservative? I'm kind of middle of the road person. I have some conservative values but then some of my beliefs are more liberal than conservative. Is it true that you currently are on the health board? That's Correct. Is it true that there is a lawsuit against the Health department? There is or has been yes. It reflects a confined animal control operation and a red health regulation that was passed with some local farmers that sued the health board because they feel that the regulation was not legal. Is there anything else that you would like voters to know about you? That I will do the best for them.

What brings you to Cooper County? My family grew, and our house in Columbia was really small. We wanted to stay in the Mid-Missouri area because my husband and I work here, but we couldn't really afford most of the places in Columbia so we started looking in the surrounding areas and we thought Boonville was a super cute town. A great house came up that was within our budget so we jumped on it and moved out here.
What are you most looking forward to in serving as a Trustee on the Board of Health?-What I would most look forward to is hearing from people and inviting different voices into the conversation. I think I could be useful and I think my professional background could be helpful. I'm an open person and I like to hear from all sides, from all perspectives, and inviting people into the conversation, and being part of the solution. I would most enjoy building those community bonds through service.
What are you dreading or concerned about if anything?-
I feel like if my fellow community members believe that I could be useful, then I would just get in there and do the absolute best I could do. I don't have any fears about that because I know that what I can do is good work and I know that I have a lot to bring to the table, and a lot to offer. Can you tell me about your family?-
My family growing is what caused us to move out here to Cooper County. I have my wonderful husband who has been so supportive and so helpful. And I also have two amazing kids. What did or do you do for a living?- I've been in communication since I graduated from Mizzou in 2008, and I've been in communications since then for non-profits, government agencies, and quasi-government agencies. So I've actually done a lot of communications work which means, especially working for non-profits, you end wearing a ton of hats because they don't usually have a lot of money for a lot of staff so you get into things like web development, and event promotions, and event management. It's not what I necessarily had in mind, but I actually found out I was good at these things and I enjoy them. So that led me to this path of serving these organizations that don't necessarily have a huge budget, and finding a way to serve them, get their message out, help promote, and so I've been doing that for a while now. But I currently work for the University of Missouri's system. In addition to communications, I also do course development; we develop online courses for people and part of my job is to help communicate very complex subjects in ways that they can better understand. I found that very fulfilling. Do you consider yourself a liberal or conservative?-
I will be perfectly honest, I've always considered myself a democrat, but I withdrew from the party completely in the past few years and I've just been considering myself an independent because I truly know that conversation and communication is important. What I'm seeing from both parties is not productive and it's not how we solve the problems that we need to solve as a community. So, for me, I'm more focused on how we can work together to solve these issues and I just view the parties as them being in it for business, they're in it to prolong themselves, and to make money for themselves, and I've seen it from the inside of my own party and I was thoroughly disgusted. I feel like if there's ever a way for us to grow and improve together, we've got to do it here and it has to start in our own communities. It can't start from these political parties which are only trying to further themselves. I was just so disgusted with everybody that I was just done with it. So yeah, I'm sitting here in the middle as an independent and I'm proud to say I don't belong to either political party or spectrum. I just want to solve problems and I don't care who has a great idea, I want to hear from them. Is there anything else you would like the voters to know about you?-My husband is such a supporting guy! Thank him for his support and thank my crazy kids for really putting me through the gauntlet every day. And thank you guys for giving me a call and reaching out. I'm so excited!
