Courier Proposal

The Cooper County Public Health Center is seeking to enter a contract with an individual or company to deliver laboratory specimens to Jefferson City daily Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). The courier would need to be at the health center by 2:30pm in the afternoon and deliver the specimens to the Missouri State Laboratory at 101 Chestnut St. by 4:00pm. The shipping container will be a cooler with icepacks. Biological specimens will be packaged per State Guidelines. There will be no exposure to blood or body fluids due to packaging and universal precautions.  Interested parties must provide proof of auto insurance with liability included. The contract would be for November and December 2020 with the possibility of extension into 2021 if more covid funds are approved. The courier will be required to sign a HIPAA confidentiality agreement and be trained in Universal Precautions. Proposals will be accepted through October 29th 12noon.
