With the Delta variant of the Covid-19 virus hitting hard in low-vaccinated communities in Missouri, Fitzgibbon Hospital and affiliated clinics are working to remove barriers for people to receive their vaccine through upcoming walk-in clinics. Appointments and pre-registration will not be required, and those seeking the vaccine are encouraged to simply walk in during the specified times.
Health experts in affected communities report that the Delta variant of Covid is causing younger people to be sickened more quickly and with more severe symptoms than what was seen last year at what was considered the virus’ peak.
Fitzgibbon Hospital encourages individuals to seek out vaccination before the virus gains a stronghold in their community. Anyone aged 12 and over can receive their Covid-19 vaccine. However, minors must be accompanied by their guardian.
Fitzgibbon Hospital and affiliated clinics will be delivering Covid-19 booster shots in the near future. We are awaiting final guidance for administration by the CDC and FDA before scheduling opportunities for our residents to receive the boosters.
Watch our social media, website and local media outlets for announcements coming soon.
If you would like to pre-register and make an appointment, please call our vaccine pre-registration message line at (660)831-3783
Vaccine pre-registration now available. As the state continues its plan to vaccinate all Missouri residents who would like to be vaccinated for Covid-19, Fitzgibbon Hospital has created an online pre-registration form to quicken the process and help plan the quantities needed. Please visit our Pre-registration page to sign-up and our staff will call you when your phase is active. To learn about when you might qualify for the Covid-19 vaccine, visit www.mostopscovid.com.
What do I do to show that I have had the vaccine if I lost my Covid-19 vaccine card?
DHSS is not offering replacement cards; however individuals can be directed to complete a request for official State of Missouri Immunization Records form, and DHSS can send them a copy of the immunization record on file in ShowMeVax, the statewide immunizations registry. They can either fax or email the completed form to immunizationrecordrequests@health.mo.gov or fax:573-526-0238. Additionally, if you received your vaccination at a Fitzgibbon Hospital event or affiliated clinic, you can login to your FitzChart Patient Portal and your record is displayed there for printing.
